6 beauty hacks for instantly bigger eyes

Psssst. Want to know the secret to brighter, bigger and more awake eyes? We’ve got just the info you might need. Scroll down for 7 easy to achieve beauty hacks using eye-brightening tools you’ll already have in your makeup bag.

1. Buff up those brows

A strategically shaped brow is a powerful thing. They not only define your overall look, a well groomed arch also helps accentuate your eyes. For a fuller brow style, start off by using Eylure’s Dybrow tinting kit in brown or black. Once you’ve achieved the desired colour, brush brows up with a spoolie and set them in place with brow gel. Brushing them up helps to open up the eye area and make them look even bigger.

2. Elongate with liner

Is black liner on the eye your go-to look? Hey you’re smart, by drawing a thin black line along the upper lash line will enhance your lashes and frame the eyes. Add a little cat eye flick on the ends to elongate those eyes even more. Double up on the fun by using Eylure’s ProMagnetic liner along the eye line paired with the ProMagnetic Accent lashes for a flirty finish.

3. All hail highlighter

What every glow-getter needs in their lives: highlighter. Now there’s three places you want to focus on when bigger eyes are your agenda. Dab your shimmering highlighter on the centre of the lids, the inner corners of your eyes and below the brow bones to help lift the eyes and look wide awake. Try warm rosey peach highlighters on lighter skin tones or go for gold if you have a naturally darker skin tone.

4. Lengthen those lashes

Any excuse for a long fluttery lash. Lengthening mascara can only do so much, if you’re really wanting to make an impact and open the eyes you’ll want to befriend a pair of false lashes (or a fair few if you’re like us). If you’re new to false lashes we recommend trying Eylure’s Pre-Glued Fluttery Light for the easiest application, if you’re a falsie fan already try Lash Illusion No.305 for ultimate all day lash wearing comfort or bring the drama with Eylure’s Luxe Baroque lashes.

5. Emphasize that cut crease

A well defined cut crease has always been a nifty trick donned by makeup artists to make their clients eyes big and beautiful. If you’re wanting to keep it understated, use a nude eyeshadow palette and apply a skin toned shadow on the eyelids before going in with a tapered blending brush along the crease blending upward and outwards. Use a shade or two darker than your skin tone. Get playful with pops of pastel paired with bolder hues on the crease, opt for shimmery golds and brown or go bold with some graphic liner in bright tones and be bang on trend in 2022.

6. Conceal away

We make it a habit to carry a little concealer with us for all types of adventures. Because dark circles are not your friend on the wide eye mission. This makeup powerhouse can solve discolouration, hide dark under eyes and illuminate your eye area to make your lashes look darker, fuller and your eyes bigger. Choose a shade lighter than your skin tone for a brightening boost.
